You can downgrade to the no AF Preferred card. Which will keep your history with Citi going. AFAIK this will keep any points you have from expiring. But you will not be able to transfer those points to a FF program without access to a AF card.
Is the dividend card a possibility for the premier product change? I don't have any TY points to save and the rotating categories may be better value in the long run.
