I was able to switch to an earlier flight out of ATL tomorrow (Sunday) for no fee by just asking; I wonder if there's an unpublished soft travel waiver in place. Of course, it could help that I'm a DM.

... and no, it wasn't an SDC. I wasn't yet in the 24 hour window and the same fare bucket wasn't available on the new flight.
