And here we go again: by this time tomorrow, we are forecast to have Hurricane Nate moving rapidly north across the Gulf of Mexico toward the U.S. Gulf Coast. Right now, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) predicts Nate will make landfall east of the LFT area over on the Mississippi/Alabama coast. So we should be OK here although New Orleans may experience tropical storm or Category One hurricane conditions.

I will be very, very glad when hurricane season finally concludes this year.....although we have been told that we will continue to experience a very active tropical weather pattern for the next month and a half or so and could see yet another hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico before the end of the season.
