Does C+ pricing ever drop? I just booked a flights for my family and was planning on buying C+ seats for the ATL-PUJ and return legs. The prices they are asking are $287 and $256, which would be reasonable if it was for all three of us. However that is per person. That's insane considering I paid just over $100 each for C+ between ATL-LHR.

One flight isn't bad since we have a row of three in the back. However, on one flight, there are only individual scattered seats. I don't want to be the guy asking people to switch seats but I don't think my 5 year old should be sitting by himself.

Will Delta take care of the seating so one of us is with my son? Should I pick seats and try to trade (there one regular aisle, one limited recline aisle, some middle, and some window seats, but nothing where even two seats are together). Should I wait until the airport to and hope enough people with status get moved to C+ to give us seats together or my family (unlikely with no status) gets assigned to C+?
