UBER and or AMEX has gotten really annoying about how the credits get applied. When they first came out, they just applied automatically from like a credit bank.
They changed this sometime in the past few months. One has to select to apply the credit to a ride, go into a sub menu to get to it and move a slider. I think based on my usage, it's only applied to one type of profile (personal, business, etc) and I think must be manually applied to a ride in that profile for it to stay.
they SAY it stays with whatever you have selected, but with app updates it gets DE-SELECTED and I at least, forget to go in and turn it on again for a ride, and then it DOESNT get applied. I've emailed them back and forth, they won't apply it after the fact at all, and then they just stop replying.
Im sure they are not incented to make it work easier for the user at all
