What does "ET" in your thread title mean?

I wouldn't expect an upgrade at all in this situation [unless you mean you want to pay for it - and even then, there just may not be any free seat], as the flight does appear to be completely oversold. Far more likely that volunteers would be sought to buy their way up to J [if any availability opens up] or to travel on the later service, for which seats are still available in both classes.
