The FCL and ability to take in two colleagues is hugely valued, particularly when I have an afternoon flight and lots of calls in the morning. I can camp out at the lounge and do my calls, eat a good meal and then got on the plane (generally Y unless long haul). I get to skip the Y meal and catch up on reading during the flight (can't open my laptop if the person in the seat in front me reclines).

When I've had to check bags in I've never waited more than 2 minutes from the time the first bag comes out to get mine (compared to when I was green and waited 30+ sometimes).

OpUps have been lovely. Frequently check in agents have looked for better Y seats for me without me even asking.

I've been able to use many miles for redemptions and upgrades.
