How often will you do this route, and how easy would it be for you to earn status on a skyteam program? Would it be better for you to switch over to skyteam generally? You might have cheaper fares and easier status earning.

But yes it boils down to how often you plan to use the Diamond benefits, and whether you will be able to renew next year also.
