OP previously posted about PEY fare to BOM so with "23hr" reference seems like indian continent. if so you CX PEY is a mixed fare Y-PEY for India=hkg=jfk.

no OW comes to mind out of india. but i think QR from BOM-DOH-JFK J could be cheaper? they are always on sale.

DM is nice. but is it worth overpay CX to fly on lower cabin than other J? i dont think so.... unless you have had numerous opups as DM to justify such expenditure
