While there are other OW airlines that fly into and out of those airports, there's not much in the way of short-haul options (does IB count for a multi-partner itinerary)?

I suppose flying non-stop into PER and back PER-DOH|KUL-LHR (or vice versa) would be the most cost-effective way of doing it but then you're losing the benefit of the direct flight.
