With Ryanair, for example, non-EU/EEA passport holders must not use the mobile app. You HAVE to print a boarding pass.

I would suggest you do this, too. Wizz probably charge a check-in fee at the airport if you show up without a paper boarding pass. Have you checked their website?

If you print your boarding pass and present it together with your passport, then that should be possible. You have nothing to lose by asking.
