But seriously, you may want to consult the AV FT first, they may have tips on how to get through quicker or specific terms to use with an AV agent to get the best outcome etc.
Yes, it would be nice if AC could do the re-booking, but this isn't unique to AC. If you had an issue with AV flights on an AC ticket, you'd have to call AC. BA issues on an AA ticket, call AA. Etc.
