I have an Aviator Red that was the old USAir card that gave the 10k annual bonus with the annual fee, and I tried to get a new Aviator Red with the 60k for first purchase and was instantly denied. Called recon, and they said it was because I already had an Aviator Red (despite slightly different terms) and that a hard pull was not even done because the system auto rejected it since I had a card already. I asked if I could still get the new card and they said no, because you cannot have 2 copies of it and I would have to close the first one (which I won't do until the 10k annual bonus stops posting). I thought I could get a second one, but I guess not.
