The CAA seems to have promptly reacted. One of my friend was due to leave Funchal today (ZB983) and a replacement aircraft from Easyjet (G-EZTI) chartered by the CAA is already on its way to Funchal to bring him back to UK probably almost on time (replacement flight EZY9983).
