You need to read more carefully - I said reservations at restaurants (plural), during my stay. For the restaurants and the number of guests I had the concierge make me reservations for, the spend total would not at all be an outlier - if anything, it'd be completely standard. So no, not silly at all, despite your attempts to grasp at straws.
The point of my comparison is that there is little difference between the concierge making me a reservation for my party at an edomae sushi spot vs. securing my party tickets to an event (and in my case, the Conrad concierge not only spent less time on the event tickets, but they were cheaper per person than any edomae place we visited during my stay). The attempted justifications for service fees in this thread are weak - and that's being nice about it.
