I would somewhat disagree.

After Goldpointsplus was transformed to Club Carlson, management make a good effort to create a decent program and increase its customer base via various very lucrative promotions.

A few years ago the main benefits included:

- fairly generous earning rates along with fairly reasonable redemption rates
- 2-for-1 and 4-for-2 rates in Europe/Africa/Middle East for status members
- very lucrative bonus points promotions at least twice a year
- excellent credit card benefits
- reasonable conversion ratio from points to airline miles

It's rather pathetic, but each and every one of these points is no longer applicable.
