My kids don’t need special meals now but in my experiencre the ops experience is normal. BA don’t do kids and their attitude borders on being downright anti family. They have neither the product or skills to meet the needs of kids. No child cutlery, no small headphones to name but two issues. I have had crew set up a table in first for a four year old with glasses and cutlery to then deliver over cooked pasta and the M&Ms on the same tray.
other airlines don’t pretend to offer kids meals so you can’t order but as with so much at BA they promise much but deliver little
