Do we have any PMNW people on here? They were way worse than DL about the seatbelt light and no electronics but nice to hear that DL is getting even better about this.
If you have medical issues that often necessitate trips to the john it might seem like a different story! I appreciate the abundance of caution but agree that what is considered turbulence today is usually kind of wussy and perhaps the more judicious reservation of the warning lights to when there is a real issue is the better choice. And that is also why I fight hard for aisle seats so as not to inconvenience others.
Side note: in the immediate days after 9/11 when there were restrictions in leaving your seat going into and coming out of DCA I would have to notify the crew on boarding so as not to get tackled by a sky marshal.
