You also get a small meal, coffee/tea and drinks (can get up to three, I got two, and then when I went to the bar they noticed I'd come that way, and gave me one from the SP selection for free).

Are you allowed to bring liquids through security at St Pancreas?
Yes, it is not airport security rules, you can bring knives and such through as well, I believe. I think I might have brought back some cooking knives when coming back. Not quite sure of the range of things allowed by Eurostar and not airlines...
