RE: HSBC 35% Bonus Avios offer, FWIW, I think I sent in my mileage enrollment only a couple of days before I sent in my Avios redemption. They actually called me to clarify some information on my mileage enrollment form a couple of days after I sent in my Avios redemption. I thought I would have to send in the form again as a result, but about a week later later I found that the Avios actually converted successfully. YMMV

For those of you who have registered and converted RC to Avios previously, I was actually able to call in just now and have them help me convert some additional RC to Avios over the phone just now in order to meet the 9/30 deadline. Used the Mandarin hotline, I was originally calling in to ask if the "deadline" was a postmark deadline, or if they had to process it by then in order for it to count for the bonus. She told me it was the latter unfortunately, but that since I had registered my BAEC account previously, they could help me do it over the phone to ensure that it would be processed before tomorrow's deadline. Not sure whether this means future transfers can also be done over the phone...
