Interline refers only to one ticket. The correct question would be "Does LH check through to AY?" to which answer would be yes, if on one ticket, maybe if on separate tickets. If on separate tickets and short connection it is not in LH interest to do so and be possibly responsible for delayed luggage. So I would not count on it...
