The short answer is: It depends. Even if the flight is paid for by an employer, it is the traveler who accrues the frequent flyer benefits. Now, whether you'll actually benefit from those benefits depends on countless factors, including the frequency with which you fly, the distance you fly, how much the company is paying for tickets (and the types of fares they're purchasing) and the airline(s) you're flying. Can you share a little more information, including:
* What a typical routes you fly?
* How often do you fly?
* Are you flying coach?
* Is the ticket booked far in advance?
* What airlines have they recently booked you on?
* Do you have any interest in obtaining a credit card that earns airline miles?
