The booking went up about £400 in total by 9am yesterday. We have a screen shot of the final booking screen but it doesn't split out taxes so it's difficult to tell if the base price has gone up or it's all down to the taxes. It's probably a combination of the two. Family are now looking at other options as the customer experience has put them off.

My post was part curiousity to see if others had got the same problems and partly to flag another IT issue.
