The three minutes at the airport is about right! And about the same amount of time it took me last time I used UA and TWOV (ex ORD).
Appreciate you were concerned and wanted additional confirmation before you traveled, but it's not really necessary to make multiple calls to reservations. Reservations aren't usually across visa rules, whereas agents at the airport are, and 99.9% of the time are going to process you correctly with minimal delays.
