Question Any suggestions on how to drop long-time manicurist?

Please, don't suggest telling her the truth, which is that after 10 years or so I finally got bored with her standard old acrylic techniques.

It could have been a lack of communication, but she knows I'm always up for the latest thing (and she's pretty conservative.)

Anyway, I cancelled my last appt. because of surgery, then this week went to a new manicurist in the neighborhood where I live rather than work. Whoo-hoo! Yes, the double-drill pink and white polish free nails of my dreams. Yes, it's common, common, common, but I couldn't get anything like this from my now former manicurist.

Next Thursday is my regular appt. I need to cancel, but also need to have her cancel the rest of the year. and forever. I'm on disability for 6 weeks and can tell her I don't want to make the 20 mile drive, but she needs to know I'm never coming back, not even when I'm back at work two blocks from her shop.

I just think I owe her more than "why don't you cancel me out and I'll call you sometime."

Suggestions?
