Regency Club opens at 6 a.m. for breakfast (may be 6:30 or 7 a.m. on a Sunday) and at 5 p.m. for drinks and a light dinner (appetizers, salad, soup and a hot entree). Desserts are from 8-9 p.m.
None of the rooms have a
close up view of the runways. However, the Regency Club and odd numbered rooms facing north (I think rooms ending in -001 through -015) have a view of pretty much the entire airport including the two runways. Floors 6-9 would be best. If you pay for the club you'll most likely be on the 9th floor, but if a view of the airport is important you can still pay for club access but just say you want an airport view room on a high floor.
The Marriott rooms facing east have a close up view of the long runway. I've stayed there but I can't remember if aircraft noise was a problem.
I've stayed at the Hyatt for years and have been very happy there. Their evening offerings in the club are outstanding and can constitute a dinner. I would avoid even numbered rooms as those face the atrium.

I am coming into SFO for one night on Oct 7, and want to stay close to the airport. I am debating between this hotel and the Marriott.
I have skimmed through this thread, but have a couple of questions that I can't SEEM to find the answer to, and that also might be different since the last round of renovations was completed.
1.) What are the Regency Club hours? (Willing to pay for club level room)
2.) Do any of the club level rooms have decent runway views? It looks like the club itself has great views, just wondering if I would be able to get a room with great views as well.
