Credit Card Debited but Miles Not Deducted
Hi all,
I was trying to book an award flight earlier. After I had keyed in my payment details and entered a one time password to acknowledge the credit card transaction, the payment page stopped loading. I left it there for a while and went to do other things and when I came back to my laptop, the page displayed on my browser was that of the homepage of the Qatar Airways website. I received a text message on my phone saying that the transaction had gone through. My bank also verified this.
However, my miles haven't been deducted from account. I have also not received an e-ticket/booking confirmation for the award flight. I presume I should call Qatar to look into this, or would anyone have any other suggestions?
a. If a call is to be made, should I be calling their reservations team, folks managing Privilege Club, or another department?
b. Based on what I've been reading on the forums, refunds usually take ages to get processed - do you reckon this would be the same for this case?
c. Should I attempt to book another award flight whilst waiting for the refund or...? The travel is to be done in November 2017, which doesn't leave me with much time. At present I think there's quite a fair bit of availability on Economy for the flight.
