The $35 per 1000 miles is not the best rubric for putting a value on miles. Look at what you can do with said 174k miles. 2 round trip/4 one way Business Class tickets can be valued at far more than $6k.
In general the redemption top cash is going to be of lower value. If you are planning a trip those 2 rt or 4 1-way tickets can be a great value. UA's program is a good program for redemptions but don't forget the other transfer partners such as VS, SQ, AF, BA & KE. Each program will have it's own redemption rates and rules but with that many points you can make one hell of a trip.

How are you expecting to transfer Chase UR points to AA's Advantage program?
