If you can't change the membership number online once the booking is made, you may end up having to call AS and having the number changed over the phone.
That was my fear but just done a dummy booking and it seens a little more sophisticated; it allows you to put other programs into your profile and then when come to booking allows you to select the program you want to credit to

I hope I have answered my own question :-)
