Very frustrating. Makes it difficult to watch a movie on a medium-haul flight (if I can start on pushback and keep watching until arrival at the gate, I might get the whole movie in, but if you have to wait until 10K or so, you might only get half of it).

On mainline, it works gate to gate (assuming it works at all, which, in my experience, is most of the time).
I had noticed that it works gate to gate for mainline as I can sometimes watch while others are still boarding and definitely while we're taxiing after landing.

My recent experience in Regional Jets is that it's not working above 10K either. They had definitely announced that we were above 10K. Wifi was working because I could access the united website. The PDE looked as if it was working. I could see the list of movies, look at their info but when I'd try to watch, it would just keep spinning as if there were streaming issues. It's not that I couldn't watch the whole movie. I couldn't watch anything at all. Nothing ever showed up.
