I gave up on PDE a long time ago. When the system is so unreliable it's pointless really. Advertising a service that is often not available is worse than just withdrawing any form of IFE IMHO. I'm less likely to be annoyed if I know ahead of time there is no IFE than I may be if I download an app that doesn't work. I use android which m makes it rarely available. I now just download my content to my device from Netflix ahead of time and don't bother.
I moved to UA from AC several years ago and this is the main area where UA is behind, big time.
