Hm ok, I am usually lucky enough to have direct flights, so I'm unfamiliar with checking in to multiple segments, esp on different airlines. I was assuming at 24hrs before the UA segment, I could use the app to check for buy ups.

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28855993-post783.html, but after requesting my wait list upgrade my the UA segment of my flight, the HA one (not eligible for upgrade) completely disappeared from the Manage Reservations tab on UA's website. This is unfamiliar territory for me, so is this just a glitch while the website updates info? Or should I be panicking and calling in to fix my final destination, for checked bags purposes? I printed copes of my receipts showing the full itinerary just in case
