If you have another non status passenger on the booking (I'm making an assumption here, it's not mentioned in the earlier post) and have split this across 29H and 29K then you are at risk of the non status passenger being shifted to another row altogether, in order to keep an unreserved passenger and child together and ensure window seating for the passenger in 29K. This would only be a risk if the aircraft was getting very full and there were no other easy solutions, but due to the SIN and SYD sectors and the popularity of the service and cabin with families, this is a higher risk than on other routes.
Wow I didn't know that they would move a non-status passenger who had selected seats (and were on the same PNR as a GCH?)...

Fortunately it was not anyone on our booking in 29K - it was already selected when I booked (probably GCH or $$ selection). I figured that having someone already in 29K would mean a higher chance of 29J being free unless the flight was very full...
