Two people travelling on the same booking were recently delayed on a BA flight. The flight departed by more than fours later than scheduled, so they've both put in a claim for EU compensation. One of the party received the expected 600 Euros compensation, but the other only half that. The reason being given was that the flight arrived within the four hours of the scheduled arrival time. Two questions, is the EU compensation applicable to the departure time, arrival time or both? Also, is there a way to look back on what the actual achieved times were? They have a snapshot of the departure time, but not the arrival time. It seems strange to pay someone more compensation on the same booking than the other person.

Thanks for any assistance.
The EU compensation goes by arrival time, so it sounds like the airline may have made an error in paying 600 Euros for one of the passengers. I'm afraid I don't know how to find out the arrival time, but I expect others on here will if you give the details...
