I just went through this.

As long as your Plus Card is active prior to travel, and tied to you TB#, you are good. As long as you enter your TB#. You get the bag.

It even worked for previously purchased award tickets, I then upgraded to Plus Card, once Plus Card was active, at CC turn over , we had full baggage allowance, at departure date. Nice....

I hope they don't fix this glitch.

It even worked for wife, an authorized Plus user, different card # though.
I purchased on my/main card, using points and $$. Two different itineraries, one points, one money. Only her traveling. Primary card holder not traveling, BTW.

Online checkin showed a free bag. Both times. Points and Cash.

I hope this stays the same.
