I've debated that question myself. I have enough points for F right now, but if I were to redeem for J instead, I'm not sure I'd accumulate enough points for a F redepemtion before 2020.
Also, given the limited options for F, 3-4 segments seem to be the limit in general (maybe up to 6 going to SYD?)
