Actually making a cell phone protection claim on Wells card

Apparently when you make a cell phone protection claim on your Wells Fargo card, one of the things you have to provide is documentation showing you were using your phone that got damaged with the cell phone service provider you were paying your bill with.

According to the people who answer the phone when you call about your cell phone protection claim, most companies in their web site will say which phone you are using. Well, my provider is Cricket Wireless and they don't do that. So the people at the cell phone protection department told me to get a letter from Cricket saying which phone I used.

Well, I've gotten nothing but the complete run around from Cricket Wireless having contacted their 800 number, their click to chat thing on their web site, and their Twitter support channel. I thought things were going well with the Twitter support channel after about 5 or 6 DM's were exchanged. Until their last one said, "We can not process your request. We recommend you contact your device manufacturer". It's like they forwarded the case to someone who didn't even read what we were talking about.

Anyone have advice on how to get it verified which phone I'm using with Cricket?
