Cool

Are you on that ANA flight from LAX also?
Oh geez, this is the flight|time I arrived @ HND the first time I entered there in 2011. (I had always arrived @ NRT prior.)
I have brusque memories of 2011 because the USD-JPY exchange rate was absolutely horrible ($1 = ¥78.44). I didn't have enough money. If you study my Tweets from December 2011, look for the hashtag "#reprieve" when I found a venue which would accept a credit card.
Anyhow, landing this early in the morning @ HND, I picked out a seat in the international terminal, pulled out my notebook computer, and proceeded to plan out my day. Even accounting that I would not be able to physically check-in to my host until 15:00, I did determine when it would be possible for me to leave my baggage in abeyance there. I then got on the good foot to find local Yokohama venues which had stuff in which I would be keen.
I urge you to save your money. Sit down in the terminal and study the W-WW sites of Japanese venues you would want to visit. Check transit schedules to see where you can go, and for how little. Your laptop won't die. (I hope you remembered to bring a 3-prong-to-2 adaptor so you can plug it in along the way.) You will get by.
[For this trip to Japan, I got $1 = ¥109.91]
