It looks like if/when S/W is lowest PE fare available, Z is not available. If PE books into A, I can find Z easily.

I'll see if i can get an itinerary to price into S anyway (difference seems to be around $200, based on different dates where S is the lowest fare for PE). I haven't figured out how to do it with AF website, but I will call and ask.
Just to clarify from the T&C "For travel on AF flights this certificate may be used to upgrade only on published fares in Y, B, M, W or S class. Y, B, M fares upgrade into A class (Premium Voyageur class) and W or S fares upgrade to O class (Affaires or Business Class)."

The Air France "O" class that needs to be available is a unicorn and almost impossible to find. It also typically does not become available as you get closer to departure. Furthermore only the transatlantic segment would be eligible for upgrade.

If by some miracle "O" class did become available it would be far better to use the 25K miles required to upgrade than burn a GUC.
