I agree with the previous poster that Coconut Point is the best Hyatt Resort in Florida.Grand Cypress is certainly much bigger, but lacks the beach and a big heated pool, otherwise the resort grounds are simply amazing, probadly impossible to buy so much real estate these days for a hotel in Orlando, Omni had to build their property to far away from the action.
The Coconut Point island is indeed nice, but can become crowded on weekends and during the high season, so one should make sure to catch the early boat at 9.45 a.m.
Another option would be to take the boat for the Pelican Landing community, which is much faster.
The whole resort is really outstanding, beautiful art in every corner, a nice Regency Club and some really nice rooms. We requested a corner room there last week, which has three balconies ( one from the bathroom ) and is very light.
Servive throughout our stay was outstanding and we really enjoyed our visit.
Another plus is the 24 hour gym and the parking garage, which keeps the car cool.
