At MIA, we walked up and saw a line of people and zero cars in the lot. They were assigning cars as they came out of the washer, one by one, regardless of reservation or loyalty level. Cars were coming out one every five minutes. I asked about the BMW X3 they had by the booth since I was an EE. Agent said “sure. That’ll be $100 extra per day.” So I waited and got a Malibu with a non-functioning passenger seat and drivers window. They gave me a $25 coupon as an apology.
For about a month straight, PNS was not taking walk-up customers. Signage clearly indicated all reservations must be made 24-hours in advance. They said their inventory was so low that they could not accept bookings without sufficient notice. To their credit, last week the lot was full of XT5’s, 300C’s, and new Lacrosses.
