I see a lot of bags which have lots of stickers from previous trips on them. Can't help but wonder what happens if the system scans those instead of the larger bag tag.
I've often wondered this - not about the main tag but the little peel off barcodes that they stick on the sides of the bag and whether it might cause a misread somewhere.
I religiously pull any off before checking in.
