Firstly, my apologies if this is misposted because I don't know exactly which forum would be best to post in:
Owing to schedule changes we are booked to arrive in AMS on BA434 now at 13:20 before departing AMS on QR274 now at 15:15 in mid-November.
Our inward flight with BA is on a separate booking to the QR flight out to Doha so we would need, I presume, to collect our hold luggage, pass through passport control and then check in for the QR flight on arrival as if we were starting our journey at Amsterdam. Is that correct?
I've not experienced a situation where I have onward travel on a separate booking previously. When the initial bookings were made there was much more time at AMS, the BA flight was pushed back and the QR flight brought forward creating the squeeze.
My questions are:
- Is 1hr 55mins insufficient time at AMS to deplane, get luggage, check in and clear security?
- Is it possible to check in our hold luggage with QR airside, once we have got our hold bags?
Many thanks FTers
