Being a non DL flyer may I ask a stupid question...is this unique to Delta? Sounds pretty rotten to me. So if a gate agent screws up but you've already boarded your out of luck? So everyone on the waitlist that thinks they might clear has to wait until everyone else has boarded? And if you don't get your upgrade of course your screwed because by now all overhead space is gone.
