Just to clarify for those international travelers with lap infants who may be spying this thread -you do have to notify UNITED ahead of time and you will be required to obtain a boarding pass for the child. Fees do apply - typically 10% of the parents ticket price + taxes. Also, lap infant tickets for international travel are paper only - no e-tix.
