Thanks everybody. The one flight per day YVR-LHR would be a worry, but since it'd be all one PNR, I assume worst get scenario I'd get a free night in a hotel. I'll wait til closer to the time I need to book before making a decision, but it's good to know that apart from a potentially mediocre experience in J, and a walk of between 5-15 mins, there's no real downside to doing this.
