Air Canada passengers flying to Europe during the next six weeks (at least!) who may have any intra-Europe flights planned via Ryanair should be aware of the problems the carrier is dealing with.
Currently there are about 50 flights a day being cancelled on many routes with the overall effect eliminating flights for 350,000 passengers.
This has come about because the carrier has been forced to allow pilots to take their vacations in the current calendar year - rather than accruing or banking it to be taken at Ryanair's convenience.
Exacerbating the problem has been pilot defections, primarily to Norwegian.
This news does not seem to have reached beyond Europe and connecting passengers from Canada may not be aware of this or of the extent of the problem. A major concern for AC passengers could be those expecting to use Ryanair to connect to their flight home from AC gateway cities.
Cancellations for this week are still being worked out but here is a link to the cancellations for the following five weeks from September 25th.

Note to mods: I am putting this here only for the benefit of Air Canada passengers who may be impacted and could miss return flights as a result!
