First, it helps to set FireFox as the default browser on your device.

Second, when you click on Entertainment in the app you get offered two choices; browse movies and tv, or continue to unitedwifi.com. I have never gotten the first link to work, so always use the second link and select Free Entertainment there. You end up having to watch a commercial, but every time I have gotten the IFE to work on my Galaxy S5 it has been through this link.

Finally, do check whether there is an update for the app just before you get on the flight.

Good Luck. Let us know what you try and whether it works.
Was just on a couple of RJ-700's earlier this week and had to make some changes.

My first attempt resulted in an error message saying my device (Galaxy S5, Android 6.01) was not supported. Then, I noticed that the supported browser on Android had changed from Firefox to Chrome. Reset the default browser on the phone to Chrome and I was able to eventually get a movie to run on both aircraft. However, I had a lot of problems with getting logged out of the network and having to reconnect to resume the movie. Very frustrating.

One other glimmer of hope; on one of the attempts to use the IFE I used the first link from the app and it actually worked (at least, until I got dropped from the network, again). First time I have been able to make it work.

Oh yeah, don't remember getting any commercials on any of my many connection attempts.
