I visited the Branch today and although I couldn't apply for these cards there, the helpful agent asked me to make sure that my browser pop-up blocker was disabled when applying. Also, I tried applying on my mobile and in the end after uploading the docs in pdf (which they clearly state as an accepted file format) an error message came up saying 'invalid file format' (this error message never appeared while applying on my Mac).
So then at home I disabled the popup blocker on Firefox, converted by PDF files into PNG (another accepted file format) and tried applying again. Voila! I got an email confirmation from UOB receiving my application and now it's under processing.
What a lousy customer experience UOB has. Unbelievable.
