Just spoke to a rep who confirmed that Globalist status for 2018, and related amenities, is tied to the 60 night threshold. The 55 night re-qualification threshold is for subsequent years.

This is pretty much ridiculous and basically looks as if they were providing a "gift" of Globalist status for 2017 for those who'd achieved Diamond GP status based on 2016 stays without deeming it true Globalist status. Nevermind the verbiage on the website is contradictory.
